Delta Passengers Get Sick From Carbon Monoxide
A flight from Atlanta to Denver had to divert to Tulsa when several passengers reported feeling ill.
A Delta Air Lines flight from Atlanta to Denver had to divert to Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Saturday when several passengers reported feeling sick.
When the plane landed, some of the passengers were found to have had high levels of carbon monoxide in their bodies.
A Tulsa Fire Department official told ABC News that when the passengers got outside and breathed some fresh air, their carbon monoxide levels returned to normal.

Officials are investigating what caused those levels to rise in the passengers, but nothing has been determined so far.
At first, about 100 people were examined by Tulsa fire and medical personnel. Officials later determined that 12 people were suffering from elevated levels of carbon monoxide. One person was taken to a local hospital for an unrelated illness.

The plane is being evaluated by Delta personnel, according to UPI, in a further effort to determine the cause.
