Dogs Safe, Residents Displaced In House Fire At Stanton Road

The cause of a house fire Monday at Stanton Road is still being investigated.

ATLANTA, GA — Three dogs were rescued from a two-story house fire near Stanton Road that caused residents to be displaced Monday, according to Atlanta Fire Rescue.

Firefighters were dispatched around 8 p.m. to the 1700 block of Stanton Road, where they saw fire coming out of the roof, according to the department.

While crews worked the fire, a right wall collapsed, fire officials said.

There were no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation, fire officials said.

The house was put under fire watch until around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday, fire officials said.

It is unknown how many residents were displaced. The American Red Cross assisted them.
