Ex-Trump Attorney Sidney Powell Reaches Plea Deal In RICO Case: Report

A media report says Sidney Powell has agreed to honestly testify in the Fulton County election interference case.

ATLANTA, GA — Sidney Powell, former U.S. President Donald J. Trump's ex-attorney and one of his 18 co-defendants in a widespread election interference case, reached a plea deal Thursday, according to a media report.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Powell will receive six years probation, must pay a $6,000 fine and has agreed to honestly testify in the case that accuses Trump, Powell and 17 others of trying to overturn the 2020 Georgia election results.

Powell was charged on suspicion of violating the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, conspiracy to commit election fraud, conspiracy to commit election fraud, conspiracy to commit computer theft, conspiracy to commit computer trespass, conspiracy to commit computer invasion of privacy, conspiracy to defraud the state. Powell was released on a $100,000 bond.

She was tried separately, along with ex-Trump attorney Kenneth Chesebro, from the other 17 co-defendants. Her plea deal comes four days before her speedy trial was set to begin on Oct. 23.
