  1. Fall armyworms are attacking lawns across metro Atlanta in one of the worst outbreaks in decades. The insects eat Bermuda grass, among other grass varieties, and show up in late summer and early fall. They have a life cycle of about 28 days, in which they ultimately turn into moths, and do the most damage when they're caterpillars. (CBS46 News Atlanta)
  2. Atlanta Gas Light warns of possible odor and noise near the site of a Sept. 12 explosion in Dunwoody while crews work. The city of Dunwoody directed Atlanta Gas Light to suspend all service to the Arrive Perimeter apartment complex after an inspection found at least two leaks in the complex unrelated to the explosion. The complex's property management asked all residents to move out late last week. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  3. More sanitation trucks and crews could hit the Atlanta streets soon to combat a nationwide trash staffing shortage. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  4. Metro Atlanta hip hop community leaders are condemning false COVID-19 claims from celebrities like Nicki Minaj and Busta Rhymes. (WSB Atlanta)
