ATLANTA, GA — U.S. First Lady Jill Biden is set to visit Emory University after the institution received a unique grant of up to $24 million for research that could benefit people battling cancer, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
The White House announced on Aug. 23 that Emory will lead the Curing the Uncurable via RNA-Encoded Immunogene Tuning team to form a toolbox of mRNA and related technologies.
According to the White House, the technologies "could be used to 'turn on' helpful immune responses, like prompting immune cells to target and attack tumors."
