Former NFL Player Arrested On Gun, Theft Charges In ATL
Ex-wide receiver Ricardo Lockette was accused of driving a stolen truck and having a Glock on his person, a media report says.

ATLANTA, GA — Ricardo Lockette, a 37-year-old Albany native and former NFL wide receiver, was arrested Wednesday on multiple charges after being accused of driving a stolen truck in metro Atlanta, according to jail records and a media report.
Lockette, formerly of the Seattle Seahawks, was charged on suspicion of theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a vehicle with altered VIN and possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, Fulton County Jail records show.
He was accused of driving a stolen 2021 Ram 1500 TRX with a fraudulent vehicle identification number near a Camp Creek Marketplace restaurant, Channel 2 Action News reported, citing court documents.

After the Georgia State Patrol and Atlanta Police pulled him over, they ran the original VIN and saw the truck was reported stolen from somewhere in Atlanta a year ago in March, the news outlet reported.
Lockette reportedly told authorities he bought the truck in 2020 in Columbus, though he reportedly could not provide a purchase amount or remember the form of payment.

A Glock 43 9-mm pistol had also been found on Lockett's person, Channel 2 reported.
Jail records show Lockette remained incarcerated Thursday.
Lockette, a Fort Valley State University graduate, spent four seasons playing for the Seahawks from 2011-15. The team garnered a Super Bowl victory in 2014 against the Denver Broncos.
