Freeze Warning Issued For Multiple Metro ATL Counties

The freeze warning goes into effect Friday for several metro Atlanta counties.

ATLANTA, GA — A freeze warning is in effect for several metro Atlanta counties Friday, according ot the National Weather Service's Peachtree City office.

The warning goes into effect at 1 a.m. and lasts until 8 a.m.

Forsyth, Cobb, Fulton, Gwinnett, Barrow, Clarke, Douglas and DeKalb are among the counties included in the effect.

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 27 degrees are anticipated, according to weather officials.

Frost and freeze conditions can kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, weather officials said. Unprotected outdoor plumbing can also be damaged.
