Fulton County Inmate Dies Of Unknown Cause In Cell
The woman was found unresponsive in her cell at the Atlanta City Detention Center and was then pronounced dead at the scene.

ATLANTA, GA — An inmate who had been incarcerated at the Atlanta City Detention Center since May was found dead Tuesday in her cell, the Fulton County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday evening.
Authorities said Noni Battiste-Kosoko, 19, had been housed at the detention center controlled by the sheriff's office since May 20 on a misdemeanor bench warrant. She was not granted a bond, and a hold was placed on her for charges out of Miami-Dade County, Florida.

During the dinner rounds Tuesday, Battiste-Kosoko was found around 6:30 p.m. unresponsive in her cell, authorities said. Medical personnel and the Atlanta Fire Rescue responded and pronounced Battiste-Kosoko dead at the scene. Authorities said there were no obvious signs of injury.
The Atlanta Police Department will conduct a death investigation, and the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
