Fulton Murder Suspect Accidentally Released From Clayton Jail

Clayton County Sheriff Levon Allen said authorities did not realize until Tuesday that the man had been released in November 2022.

CLAYTON COUNTY, GA — A man accused of murder in Fulton County is at large after being mistakenly released from the Clayton County Jail, according to the Clayton County Sheriff's Office in a Nixle alert Tuesday.

Kaiser Ulrick Suggs was being held in the Clayton County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault and was supposed to be taken to the Fulton County Jail; but, authorities said he was somehow released from jail in November 2022.

Authorities did not realize Suggs had been released from jail until Tuesday, Clayton County Sheriff Levon Allen said in the alert.

"The two employees who are responsible for this threat to public safety are now on administrative leave and my Internal Affairs Unit (is) investigating how this unacceptable action occurred," Allen said.

Suggs has been placed on Clayton County's top 10 most wanted list, and Clayton's Fugitive Squad has been activated to locate Suggs and bring him into custody, Allen said.

He should be considered armed and dangerous, Allen said, noting people should call 911 immediately if they encounter him.
