GA Child Cancer Patient Gets Special Birthday Surprise

ATLANTA, GA — An 11-year-old cancer patient suffering from leukemia during the coronavirus pandemic received a warm birthday surprise.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, tells WGCL that Lex was diagnosed with leukemia on September 29. He has been receiving treatments at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in recent months.

To brighten up his day, his sisters organized a special surprise drive-by. More than 50 people, which included friends, family and his teachers drove by to show their support.

Lex said it was the "best birthday ever!"
