GA Mass Shooting Suspect Arrested In AL

ATLANTA, GA — A man has been arrested in connection with a mass shooting that killed a person and injured 10 others last summer in Atlanta, federal authorities said Wednesday.

A FBI SWAT team on Wednesday arrested Ze'Kevious Zenard Perry, 24, at a house in Montgomery, Alabama, the FBI Atlanta office said. Authorities announced in late August that they were searching for Perry.

The deadly shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m., July 28, in the 300 block of Edgewood Avenue, Atlanta Police said at the time.

The shooting killed a person and injured seven males and three females, including an 18-year-old man who was in critical condition, Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum said in the past. Guns and 34 shell casings were recovered from the scene, he said.

Three males and a female, ages and descriptions unknown, were sought in connection with the shooting, Schierbaum said in the past.

Arrest warrants against Perry were issued in April, and he was charged with felony murder and 10 counts of aggravated assault in the Fulton County Magistrate Court system, the FBI said.

A motive in the shooting has not been released.
