ATLANTA, GA — A Georgia state senator has asked Gov. Brian Kemp to review the actions of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Republican Sen. Colton Moore sent Kemp a letter Thursday, requesting a special session that will review and respond to Willis' actions. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger was CC'd on the letter.

Moore posted the letter to X, formerly known as Twitter. He did not specify which actions to which he is referring.

"I’m calling on patriots across America to join me in this fight," he said.

Moore shared a petition that advocates for the investigation of Willis' office.

The news comes after a Fulton County grand jury voted Monday to indict former President Donald Trump and 18 co-defendants on various election interference and racketeering charges relating to the 2020 presidential election. Trump and his co-conspirators were accused of trying to overturn the presidential election.

Trump and his co-defendants are slated to be booked at the Fulton County Jail, though it is unknown when this will take place.

In a Tuesday post on X, Kemp said the election in Georgia was not stolen and defended the statewide election process.

Trump plans to hold a press conference Monday in New Jersey as he plans to present a report he said will exonerate him.

Patch has reached out to Kemp's office for comment.
