Georgia Babysitter's Dog Mauls 5-Month-Old To Death

Terika George left her baby, Paige Bradley, with a longtime friend in Forest Park. The friend's German shepherd attacked the girl.

FOREST PARK, GA — A Clayton County mother left her 5-month-old girl with a babysitter and returned to find the sitter's dog had mauled the baby to death. Now, the family is trying to raise money for funeral costs.

Terika George left her daughter, Paige Bradley, in the care of a longtime friend Tuesday night in Forest Park. The friend said he put the girl to sleep and went to sleep himself on another bed, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.

George left for a few hours and made a grisly discovery when she returned home a few hours later: the babysitter's German Shepherd had attacked and killed her daughter, WSB-TV reported.

The family has established a GoFundMe campaign, which Patch has verified, to pay for the girl's funeral arrangements. As of Thursday afternoon it had raised $50. All proceeds go toward the funeral arrangements for Paige.

“I can’t even say (what happened),” George told the station. “ I just gave it to God ... I told him to figure this all out for me.”

She said the dog was known to be friendly to the girl, even eating and sleeping near her. The dog has since been euthanized.
