Georgia Weather Forecast: Storms Every Day
Find out what time of day is most likely to get stormy in metro Atlanta this week and just how hot it's going to get before the weekend.

ATLANTA, GA — We hope you didn't get too used to those sunny days last week. This week in metro Atlanta, the summer storms will be back in force — with rain in the forecast every single day.
The National Weather Service warns that scattered thunderstorms throughout north and central Georgia can be expected Monday afternoon, into the evening. A few of those storms could be strong to severe, with gusty winds, frequent lightning and isolated flooding, says the NWS.
That's a pattern that could repeat a lot this week. Thunderstorms in the forecast will mainly be during the afternoon and evening hours and a few of them could be strong.

The chance of some rain is 60 percent both Monday and Tuesday, dropping to 50 percent on Wednesday, 40 percent on Thursday and 30 percent on Friday.

It will be plenty warm, too. Highs are forecast to be around 87-88 for most of the week, with a chance that we'll hit 90 degrees on Friday.

Showers and thunderstorms likely again Tuesday night, mainly before 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. Southeast wind around 5 m.p.h. becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. West wind around 5 m.p.h. Wednesday night, a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71.
Thursday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 88. Another 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday night. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72.
Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Friday night, a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72.
