Georgia Weather Forecast: A Stormy Friday And Then Some
Are you heading to a football game Friday night? If so, check out this soggy forecast for metro Atlanta and north Georgia first.

ATLANTA, GA — The Friday night lights will shine throughout metro Atlanta this weekend. But the weather might not be a fan as football season swings into reality in Georgia.
"Scattered to numerous" thunderstorms are expected Friday over north and central Georgia, particularly Friday afternoon into the night, according to the National Weather Service. A few of those storms could be severe, with damaging winds, frequent lightning and heavy rain.
Unfortunately, the NWS says we're right in the heart of where the weather might be the worst. The most likely area for severe storms will be from Atlanta to Gainesville and further north. Large hail is also possible.
