Georgia Weekend Weather: Storms, Potentially Heavy Downpours
This weekend will see a constant chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout central and northern Georgia.
ATLANTA, GA -- We can expect a stormy and rainy weekend in Georgia, with chances of rain ranging from 30 to 50 percent throughout the weekend. The high temperatures will be in the high 80's, with lows in the high 60's and low 70's.
Clouds will dominate the skies in most areas and light winds will be blowing through the weekend. But areas where storms hit will be at risk of higher winds and heavy downpours, potentially.
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for central and northern Georgia, warning of isolated to scattered thunderstorms throughout central and northern Georgia. The main hazards, according to the warning, will be potentially severe storms with frequent lightning and locally heavy rain.

Tonight: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
Friday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Southwest wind around 5 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Friday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. Southwest wind around 5 mph.
Saturday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. West wind around 5 mph.
Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70.
