Georgia's Best School Districts: New Rankings Released

BUFORD, GA — Niche has ranked Georgia’s best school districts for 2019 and the Buford City Schools is the No. 1 school district in the state. The rankings were released this week by Niche as part of its 2019 K-12 rankings. Niche ranked a total of 41 school districts in Georgia.

Forsyth County Schools, Oconee County Schools, Decatur City Schools and Calhoun City Schools closed out the top five spots in the Peach State.

Here are the top school districts in Georgia that received a minimum Niche grade of B:

According to Niche, the Jericho Union Free School District in Jericho, New York, is the best school district in the country overall. With an overall Niche grade of A+, the district received a grade of A+ in academics, teachers, clubs and activities, college prep and health and safety. In the category of diversity, Niche awarded the school district a B+.

To arrive at these rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the methodology here.)
