GPB Hosts Be My Neighbor Day Saturday, October 20

Free Event Features Meet and Greet with Daniel Tiger

Georgia Public Broadcasting will host Be My Neighbor Day, a free event geared toward preschool children and their families.

Attendees will be guided through a number of activities, including the following:

- Meet and Greet with Daniel Tiger

- Interactive photo booth

- Share kindness by assembling a care package for children at Our House. Attendees are encouraged to be a generous giver by bringing laundry detergent or baby wipes to donate to Our House.

- Be thoughtful and make a greeting card for a neighbor

- Meet community helpers from the Sandy Springs Fire Department

- Learn something new by testing out a PBS KIDS Playtime Pad

The event will take place Saturday, October 20 from 10 a.m. to Noon at City Springs Park, Sandy Springs.

Parking will be available in the underground deck (0-2 hours free), accessible from Mount Vernon Highway and off Sandy Springs Circle at Galambos Way. Detailed parking information is available online here.

The event is sponsored by the Fred Rogers Company, PNC Grow Up Great, Our House, the

City of Sandy Springs and Sandy Springs Fire Department.
