Gwinnett Ballet Theatre Announces Auditions for THE NUTCRACKER

This audition is for dancers ages 3 and over and will be held on Saturday, July 28.

Gwinnett Ballet Theatre (GBT) will be celebrating 37 years of producing its traditional version of The Nutcracker for audiences this holiday season. The process of finding young dancers to participate begins this summer!

On Saturday, July 28th, GBT invites young dancers who wish to participate in The Nutcracker to a special “National Dance Day” audition. This audition is for artists ages 3 and over. Auditions will be held in the spacious GBT studios located at 1800 MacLeod Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30043.

10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – GBT Performance Division Auditions are open to dancers ages 12+ with at least 2 years of training.

12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Ages 3 to 6

1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. – Ages 7 to 11

GBT welcomes all dancers to this audition. Once selected for The Nutcracker, participating dancers will be required to register for GBT ballet classes and rehearsals.

This annual holiday tradition will be performed from November 30th to December 16th on weekends at Duluth’s Infinite Energy Center in its Infinite Energy Theatre. Shows on the second and third weekend will be accompanied by a live, professional orchestra under the baton of world-renowned conductor Predrag Gosta.
