Hammonds House Museum Launches New Family Day Program on Oct 2

Family Day includes fun & educational activities for the whole family. This event is FREE, but online registration is required.

To welcome art lovers of all ages to the museum, Hammonds House Museum has created a new monthly Family Day program. The initiative will provide families an opportunity to spend quality time together enjoying fun and educational activities like the new Art Smart Scavenger Hunt! During their visit, they will explore the museum and view the current exhibition, Exhibiting Culture: Highlights from the Hammonds House Museum Collection, which features incredible artwork by some of the world’s premiere African American artists. The first Family Day will take place on Saturday, October 2 from 12:30-3:30 pm. Admission is free, but online registration is required. To reserve tickets, please register HERE.

Admission to Hammonds House Museum is via online registration only. Protocols are in place so guests will feel comfortable. Masks are required, and sanitizing stations are available.

Hammonds House Museum’s mission is to celebrate and share the cultural diversity and important legacy of artists of African descent. The museum is the former residence of the late Dr. Otis Thrash Hammonds, a prominent Atlanta physician and passionate arts patron. A 501(c)3 organization, the museum offers rotating exhibitions, artist talks, exhibition tours, arts education programs, family days, virtual programs, and other cultural events throughout the year.
