Impact Church Students and Leaders on Trip to South Africa
They are participating in the Global Young People's Convocation in Johannesburg, South Africa; a segment of Impact's commitment to youth.

Since the beginning of the year, two NxT-G (Next Generation) Leadership team members have been preparing themselves and Maximum Impactors* for the journey of a lifetime. On Sunday July 15, Pastors Candice and Sam set out on a trip with seven middle and high school students and two additional adults to Johannesburg, South Africa. The group is representing Impact Church at the Global Young People’s Convocation (GYPC) of the United Methodist Church.
The 11 member Impact team is joining thousands of young people and adults from around the world for the quadrennial event (every four years) last held in July, 2014 in Tagatay, Philippines. Participants are immersed in group sessions and break out sessions, all geared toward providing a foundation for future leaders in the United Methodist Church.
Pastor Candice says, "Our goal is to expose students to the world beyond Atlanta, Georgia." After a layover and tour in Doha, Qatar, the group boarded another flight to Johannesburg. At departure Wynn said,
"We're all super excited and can't wait to see just how God will move through this experience." She asked for prayers for the group on their journey.

Preparation for the trip included attending meetings with the youth to discuss expectations, items needed and to keep parents abreast of expectations for the trip. Additionally, the students recently hung out at Dave and Busters to build camaradie. The group is scheduled to return on July 24.
*Maximum Impactors are youth attendees at Impact Church between the 6th-12th grade.
