Inmate Dies From Apparent Suicide At Fulton County Jail
The 40-year-old male, who had been housed at the facility for 4 days, was found Saturday by his cellmate.

ATLANTA, GA -- An inmate at the Fulton County Jail has been pronounced dead after he was found hanging in his cell Saturday afternoon.
The male, 40, was found by his cellmate, who notified deputies of his discovery. Fulton County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Tracy Flanagan said the inmate had been at the facility for four days (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. The inmate was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A jail chaplain will notify the man's next-of-kin and an investigation into his death remains active, Flanagan added. The man's name is also being withheld pending notification of his family.
