Jim Chapman, founder and CEO of Jim Chapman Communities, has been installed as 2018 President of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA). He has also been named as the GAHBA’s Spike Member of the Year for his outstanding work recruiting and retaining new builder and associate members at the local level and within the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Federation. Chapman, a long-time champion of the U.S. home building industry, is currently serving as the 2018 Vice-Chair of the NAHB Land Development Committee, and is the Founding Chairman of the ALL Home Program, a voluntary statewide certification created by the Home Builders Association of Georgia to promote accessibility and universal design.

Chapman, an Atlanta native, founded Jim Chapman Communities in 1998 specifically to serve the active 55+ market. Now recognized as metro Atlanta’s premier 55+ homebuilder, Jim Chapman Communities has a number of active adult communities under development throughout the Atlanta area, including Cobb County, Forsyth County, North Fulton, Hall, Dawson and Cherokee Counties. A Certified Professional Home Builder, Chapman is deeply committed to the success of the U.S. home building industry and devotes his time to local, regional and national industry organizations.
