(ATLANTA) - Jordan Cann is a writer, producer, actor and director who has a strong martial arts background, as well as a former background dancer for major artists such as Will.I.Am, Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, and countless others. Currently “The Elementals,” is in post-production scheduled for a summer release. “The Elementals" is a film that Cann conceptualized and brought to life. Cann is also working on a martial arts based feature film as a stunt actor entitled, “Year of the Rat.”
“The Elementals" is an action based sci-fi story about a superhuman race of people, Cann states, “I would best describe “The Elementals" ' as "Hunger Games" meets "Avatar: The Last Airbender."The film will premiere on www.theelementals.com, which will be launching soon. Cann portrays the role of Tuma, a noble Nigerian fighter. Cann wrote, produced and co-directed the film. Stating, “As of right now we are still aiming for a late 2021 release. Just a few more steps with VFX and sound, then it's time,” states Cann.
Jordan Cann portrays the villain Ricky White in the forthcoming film, "Year of the Rat,” which is in production in Atlanta. Stating, “This will be the first time I will be playing a villain. Not to mention that my dialogue is very heavy in this film - I have at least four, 2 to 3 minute monologues.” Continuing, “This role is definitely going to challenge me on a professional level. Four years ago when I was in Atlanta, Georgia I worked on a film directed by Cyrus Alexander as a stunt performer. The director of that project really took note of me. Two years later, Cyrus saw me lead in my self produced film, “Street Dreams – Los Angeles,” as well as "Noxious 2." The director and I spoke a few times, and then he told me he really believes in my ability and me so he offered me the role on his project, “Year of the Rat.”

Jordan Cann co-runs a production company, namely J&S Productions alongside friend and business partner, Aaron Patrick Thompson. Through their production company,
Cann is producing and working as a stunt actor on “Street Dreams: Miami” a sequel to “Street Dreams: Los Angeles,” which Cann starred in and produced. Cann continues in his role portraying Agent Elijah Wilkins. “This time we have a bigger cast, bigger budget and a bit of a crazy story line,” states Cann.
“Street Dreams – Miami” is produced by J&S Productions and Lucky Strike Films and Doval Bacall Films. Cann described this new film partnership as one which is creating bigger avenues to distribution, some new, effective marketing strategies, and the ability to attach more notable stars to the project. Cann states, “For me to see “Street Dreams Miami” come to life would be a “pat on the back," in a sense, and a sign of tangible progression since the fist film was written and produced in a very rough time of my life, and it was produced on an ultra shoe-string budget. To sit back and see its growth would be much like a proud parent watching their child graduate college to get a six-figure career. I specifically wrote it so that it is franchised. I expect roadblocks, but as all of my roadblocks in the past have been crumbled, I expect the crumbling of roadblocks to continue, and the road to success to continue to unfold as it should."

Jordan Cann’s aspirations for 2021: “As of right now I see 2021 as a year of planting and watering seeds for the harvest time that is before me. I am getting to a point in my life where I can recognize seasons of sowing and seasons of reaping. So this year I expect new relationships, new understanding, more development of personal character, sharpening of skills, new business ventures and of course that good ‘ol patience and perseverance. Then we will see what happens on the other side of that.”
Passionate about incorporating his martial arts skills into his work as an actor, Jordan Cann has a profound desire and goal of becoming part of the Marvel, “Black Panther,” “Wakanda Forever” cast. “This would be a dream come true for me to show my skills, and possibly a game changer for my life and career. I am keeping my skills fresh all across the board, and continuing to train in martial arts, as I work as a stunt actor and I continue to work in multiple capacities on my current films. Continuing, “Ultimately I know it will require definite divine intervention and also proper networking on my part, for me to obtain my dream role. If it is meant to be, I know it will happen.” Concluding, I've trained hard over the last few years. It would be second nature for me to bring my A++ game to the production. I can promise to do so through the amazing opportunities which I know can and do present themselves.”
