Judge In Trump RICO Case Orders Added Security Measures For Jurors

A media report says jurors in the racketeering case against ex-President Donald Trump should only be identified by their numbers.

ATLANTA, GA — Added protection is expected for the identities of jurors in the election interference case against former U.S. President Donald J. Trump and his 18 co-defendants, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ordered jurors only be identified by their numbers in court filings and court remarks, the AJC reported.

The news comes amid reports that the personal information of jurors have been spread on the internet, as well as reports of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her staff facing racism and violent threats, the AJC reported.

Trump was indicted last month, alongside 18 others, on racketeering and other charges. The group is accused of trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia, during which Trump lost to Democratic President Joe Biden.
