Just How Big is the New Mercedes-Benz Stadium?

It could hold 1,118 Waffle Houses or 452 Chick-fil-A's, not to mention 18 Home Depots, which would make Arthur Blank a very happy man.

ATLANTA, GA — The Atlanta Falcons are set to begin the new NFL season -- and their last one in the Georgia Dome -- next Thursday, when they take to the field against the Washington Redskins in their first preseason game of 2016-17.

The team, owned by Home Depot co-founder Arthur Blank, will move into the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, right next door to the dome, next season.

The new stadium will also be the home of the 2019 Super Bowl, as well as Blank's Atlanta United MLS club.
