Kick Start Martial Arts Receives 2019 Best of Atlanta Award

ATLANTA - The owner and operator of Grant Park’s Kick Start Martial Arts, Tang Soo Do fourth degree Master Renard Beaty, was given the 2019 Best of Atlanta Award in the Martial Arts School category by the Atlanta Award Program. Each year, the Atlanta Award Program, along with evaluating third-party sources, identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small businesses through service to their customers and the community. “These exceptional companies help make the Atlanta area a great place to live, work and play,” said award organizers.

After relocating from East Atlanta’s Moreland Avenue to The Beacon on Grant Street in Grant Park, Kick Start Martial Arts has grown by 13 percent, offering beginner to black belt classes for children and adults. Their visibility and commitment to the community is clear as well. “We are proud to offers women’s self-defense classes, provide entertainment for such local festivals as the Grant Park Shade Festival, and we make sure our students exercise leadership by giving back to the community,” said Beaty. “One of the general ways they do that is we ask our more than nearly 200 students to contribute back to school supplies for area schools that teach students who may need a little extra help getting those items.”
