Law Enforcement Collecting Donations For Hurricane Ian Victims

Items can be dropped off from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Caring for Others, 3537 Browns Mill Road SE, in Atlanta.

ATLANTA, GA — Local law enforcement is leading disaster relief efforts to benefit residents impacted by Hurricane Ian.

The Convoy of Care was activated Friday, said Natalie Ammons, president of the Georgia Chapter of NOBLE.

NOBLE stands for National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives.

Organizers are collecting new personal hygiene products, underwear, socks, diapers, wipes, baby formula and cleaning supplies that will be delivered to Ft. Meyers, Florida, sometime next week, Ammons said.

Items can be dropped off from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Caring for Others, 3537 Browns Mill Road SE, in Atlanta.

Monetary donations are being collected to purchase items in bulk, Ammons said.

Georgia Motor Trucking Association and Stewart Miller Simmons Trial Attorneys are partnering for the effort.
