Life is a Cabaret at Lips, Atlanta’s Premier Drag Palace
Yvonne Lame' offers her tips for newbies attending their first live drag show
Yvonne Lame’ knows why her drag show palace has become such a phenomenon in Atlanta. “Lips offers a magical exploration of culinary dishes and a visual explosion of fabulous colors,” she says. “Diners love the uniqueness of the Lips experience. We are more than a stage show because our performers are the waitresses too.”

In its five-plus years, Lips has become a beloved eatery in Atlanta. It is the best party place in town, especially on Friday and Saturday nights when Mr. Charlie Brown, a legendary drag persona in Atlanta, hosts. On those nights, it’s perfectly normal to see guests up and dancing at their tables.
But for the newbie who has yet to experience a live drag show, the thought of attending one may be intimidating. That’s why we turned to Ms. Yvonne Lame’ herself for some expert pointers and tips.
