Man Dies In Midtown After Being Pinned By Car
The man was trying to pay at a ticket machine, where he died overnight in the Starling Hotel parking garage.
ATLANTA, GA — A man who was pinned by his own car in a midtown parking garage around 12:15 a.m. Thursday has died, according to the Atlanta Police Department and a media report.
Police said the single-car accident took place in the 1000 block of Peachtree Street.
11Alive reported the man was in the Starling Hotel parking garage, near Colony Square, when he forgot to put his truck into park.

Police said the man opened his door to reach the ticket machine near the garage's exit gate, and the car moved forward while the man was partially outside of it.
He was trapped and pinned by the car, police said.
