Man Gets Into Strangers' Cars And Makes Them Drive To ATM: Police
Police are looking for a suspect who they say kidnapped and robbed two women in Atlanta last month.
ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta police are looking for a suspect who they said kidnapped and robbed two different women last month.
The man made the victims withdraw cash from several ATMs before fleeing. In both instances, he had the women drop him off in the Atlantic Station area.
According to police, the suspect was able to open the car door and make his demands. Neither victim was hurt.

According to one of the victims, she had just left a hair salon on Piedmont Road, got into her vehicle when a man got in on the passenger side. The victim told police the man became emotional and said he had recently lost his job and needed money to feed his son. He took $700 before having her drop him off at a nearby gas station.
A couple of days later, another woman was a victim. This incident happened at a gas station on Sydney Marcus Boulevard. When she got back into the car after pumping gas she heard a male’s voice in the backseat. He told her to drive and not turn around, she told police. The man took $200 from her purse and at an ATM, made her withdraw $800.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the man in the photo or has information about the robberies to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. They can remain anonymous and be eligible for a $2,000 reward.
