Man Killed Wednesday Morning While Running From Police
Police say the man was struck by traffic while running across I-285 and Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway.
ATLANTA, GA — A man was struck by oncoming traffic overnight at I-285 and Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway.
Police said Demetrious Smith, 29, ran from police after they responded to a 911 call that said two men were selling drugs at a Petro truck stop, reports the AJC. Police said Smith fled on foot and jumped over a guardrail, attempting to cross I-285. At least two vehicles then struck Smith, who died on the scene.
The other suspect reported in the 911 call has not been found.
