The Market at Pinewood Forrest Launches in Fayetteville

Weekly food and artisan market to feature the best in local produce, handcrafted goods and curated seasonal activities

The Market at Pinewood Forrest is set to open with a host of activities on Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29. The weekly market is located within the new Pinewood Forrest development near 320 Veterans Parkway. Market-goers can expect a diverse selection of locally grown, farm fresh produce, handmade goods and demonstrations by local artisans, fun activities and seasonal programming, both on opening weekend and tailored year-round.

The inaugural weekend will include tales from professional storytellers, a Mercier Orchards bobbing for apples stand, fruit and vegetable carving demonstrations and a live Halloween ice sculpture exhibition.

Each weekend, roughly 50 vendors from farmers and chefs to artists will showcase their goods on-site, at a full farmers and artisans market complete with local produce, custom crafted goods and special experiences and programming. The market will be open every Saturday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-9 p.m., and on Sundays, 1-5 p.m.

“Pinewood Forrest is a community for creatives and makers so it’s natural for The Market to serve as a gathering place for residents and the broader community to support local artists and vendors,” said Rob Parker, President of Pinewood Forrest. “We view locally grown produce and a healthy, vibrant community as two key elements of our wellness philosophy.”

Pinewood Forrest is located adjacent to Pinewood Atlanta Studios and will be home to nearly 3,000 residents once complete. The development will comprise single-family homes, two hotels, a 600-unit multi-family development, a retail district and 118 acres of public green space with gardens, parks and walking trails.
