Valentin Hernandez, 80, was his grandson Eduardo’s absolute number one pick for pastry chef when Eduardo decided to open a café/bakery two years ago. Why? Because with over 40 years of experience at one of the top bakeries in Caracas, Venezuela, Valentin knows almost instinctively how to turn out the perfect pastries. He keeps virtually all the recipes in his head! In two short years of existence, “Valentino's Bakery” has become a success mainly due to Valentin's skill at creating the wonderful tastes of Venezuela. His granddaughter, who is the general manager of the bakery, says that Valentin’s baking is so delicious because he does it all with heart. Ah . . .
