Memorial Day 2018 Grocery Hours In GA: Publix, Kroger, Walmart

ATLANTA, GA — If Memorial Day means grilling steaks, burgers and hot dogs to feed a hungry crowd of family and friends, it seems like something always gets left off the grocery list. Everyone has a last-minute purchase — drinks, chips, barbecue sauce, buns — that requires a quick trip to the store.

Here is a list of Atlanta area grocery stores that will be open on Memorial Day, May 28, along with their hours. However, it is always a good idea to call ahead and make sure the store has the item you're looking for in stock.

Nearly every food store in the region — Publix, Krogers, and Albertsons among others — is open on Monday, with few hours adjusted for the holiday. Here is the status for Georgia grocery chains, taken from websites and emails to Patch. Some store hours may vary.

• Publix: All stores will be open regular store hours on Monday. Customers can visit publix.com to verify their store operating hours.
• Kroger: Stores will be open regular hours on Monday.
• Albertson's: Open normal store hours on Memorial Day.
• Save-A-Lot: Open regular hours on Memorial Day.
• Piggly Wiggly: All stores open normal hours on Monday.
• Winn Dixie: Open normal hours.
• Trader Joes: Stores will be open normal hours.
• Whole Foods: Stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Fresh Market: Stores are open normal hours on Monday.
• ALDI: All stores will be open limited hours on Memorial Day. The holiday hours for your local store can be found by using the store locator.
• Costco: All stores are closed on Memorial Day.
• Sam's Club: Stores will be open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Walmart: Stores will be open regular hours.
• Target: Store are open regular hours on Monday.
