Morris Brown Temporarily Mandates Face Masks On Campus: Report

Morris Brown informed faculty, staff and students of the mask requirement in a letter Sunday, citing the rise of COVID-19 cases at the AUC.

ATLANTA, GA — Days after the news of an increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations, Morris Brown College is mandating face masks be worn on campus for the next two weeks, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday.

The college made the announcement Sunday in a letter to faculty, staff and students, citing the rise in positive COVID-19 cases among students in the Atlanta University Center, the AJC reported.

Morris Brown President Kevin James told the AJC the mandate is a precautionary measure as Morris Brown has not had any reports of positive virus-related cases.
