Mother Charged With Murder In Boy's Hot Car Death: Reports

The 3-year-old died Saturday after he was found Oct. 31 inside an overheated car in South Fulton, say media reports.

ATLANTA, GA — A mother who left her 3-year-old boy locked up in a hot car last week has been charged with murder following the boy's death Saturday, according to media reports. The Fulton County police arrested Lillian Stone, 25, on Oct. 31 after her child was found inside an overheated car parked in the city of South Fulton.

The boy had been trapped in the car, in the 6800 block of Smoke Ridge Drive, for at least three hours as outdoor temperatures reached the 70s, according to media reports. A passerby saw the boy in the car and called 911.

He was taken in critical condition to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding Hospital.
