Nat King Cole's Great-Nephew Fatally Stabbed In Atlanta Park: Report

A tribute posted to Instagram said Tracy Cole was a 'vibrant soul.'

ATLANTA, GA — Tracy Cole, the great-nephew of legendary musician Nat King Cole, was stabbed to death Thursday in Centennial Olympic Park, Channel 2 Action News reported Friday.

Atlanta Police reported officers responded around 2 a.m. to a stabbing in the 300 block of Centennial. When they arrived, they found a man with multiple stab wounds.

Police said the man was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries. Police did not identify a possible suspect.

Citing the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office, Channel 2 reported the man was identified as Tracy Cole, the grandson of Freddy Cole.

On Instagram, Atlanta Cigar Week posted an online tribute, adding Cole was "a vibrant soul."
