A Novel Idea Features 6 Authors During One Fabulous Fall Night Oct. 24
Support metro Atlanta's writing community by attending A Novel Idea's supper club-styled celebration at Brimstone Restaurant in Alpharetta

Few Atlanta-area groups have more of a hyperfocus on hometown talent than A Novel Idea, which has supported experienced or emerging local writers by providing professional settings, promotions and book sales for author events since 2015. And a week before Halloween, ANI has a real treat in store for readers of various genres.
On Oct. 24, ANI will host a six-person presentation in Alpharetta showcasing the group’s newest undertaking: A launch initiative in collaboration with the Atlanta Writers Club. AWC members with new or recent releases are welcome to pitch them at one of ANI’s free supper club-styled celebrations, where Bookmiser has copies to purchase. Currently held at Alpharetta’s Brimstone Restaurant and Tavern, 10595 Old Alabama Road Connector, the evenings start early with attendees dining and end with authors signing.
This month’s featured writers include Dr. Martha Boone, Mark Beaver, Ann Echols, Aishah Hight, Brynn Barineau and Aysha Treadwell.

Boone, one of the first 100 women board certified in urology, was named a Top Doc in urology in Atlanta for over a decade. Her latest work, “The Unfettered Urologist,” is nonfiction and details the pearls of wisdom she never had time to include in short office visits.
Beaver, whose prose has appeared in numerous journals and magazines, will be discussing “The Ballad of Karla Faye Tucker,” a blend of true crime, social history and memoir.

In addition to teaching English to high school students with language learning disabilities, Echols has coauthored two nonfiction books. She will be talking about her recently released novel, “A Tale of Two Maidens.”
Hight, whose literary themes include kindness, hope and overcoming challenges, will spotlight her first published children’s book, “Swinging for Joy.”
Barineau moved from Atlanta to Rio de Janeiro after college and began writing. Now back in the Peach State, she will examine her Rio-influenced debut novel, “Jaguars and Other Game.”
Treadwell, a business consultant, commercial realtor and entrepreneur, will share a roadmap to success for small business owners detailed in “Passion and Strategy Go Hand in Hand.”
Attendees are encouraged to come early, have dinner, register for giveaways and support metro Atlanta’s writing community by visiting Bookmiser's table. For more information, go to anovelidea.us/events.
There is no charge to attend but registration is requested here.
