Obamacare Repeal: How GA Representatives Voted
Here's a list of how Georgia's representatives voted when the House successfully voted to repeal Obamacare Thursday.
Editor's Note: The vote tally for the bill has been corrected.
ATLANTA, GA — The House of Representatives, by the slimmest of margins, passed a health care bill on Thursday that would repeal and replace major parts of the Affordable Care Act.
The final tally was 217-213, and was along party lines for the Georgia delegation, with nine GOP votes in favor of the bill, while the four Democratic representatives voted against it. The delegation is one representative short while the race for the seat vacated by Tom Price — tapped by President Trump to serve as secretary of Health and Human Services — heads to a runoff election next month.

Here's what some of Georgia's elected officials said about the bill's passage:
Georgia’s Representative Tom Graves (R-GA-14) released a statement that said he believes the president's plan will "reduce health insurance premiums, increase access to care and put patients first." Graves said the AHCA will protect those with pre-existing conditions from price gouging and Americans with serious health challenges.

Drew Ferguson (R-GA-3) said he believes this legislation is a step towards creating a "patient-centered, market-driven health care system."
"By empowering Americans to make their own health care decisions, we protect the all-important conversation between patients and their doctors," Ferguson said in a statement. "By cutting onerous regulations and taxes we promote economic growth for our nation.”
Barry Loudermilk (R-GA-11) released a statement that said:
"The Affordable Care Act (ACA) promised affordable health insurance and access to health care for everyone, but the result has been the exact opposite. Ronald Reagan best described the dangers of government bureaucracy as, ‘In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.’"
