Woman Struck, Killed at South Atlanta Intersection

ATLANTA, GA — A woman was struck and killed at a south Atlanta intersection on Thursday.

The incident happened shortly before noon at the intersection of Amal Drive and Pryor Road.

Police a woman, identified as a Ms. Ahmed, was driving her Honda Civic on Pryor when she swerved up onto the sidewalk where the victim was standing.

The vehicle struck the woman, whose name has not been released, and carried her before she came off. The car then struck a tree and then crashed into a porch at the location.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
