Police Seek Help Finding Missing Child

The 11-year-old boy left his home in northwest Atlanta about noon on Wednesday after having an argument with his step-father, police say.

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta Police are asking for the public's help finding an 11-year-old boy believed to have run away from home on Wednesday.

Marcus Dennis is believed to have run away from his home at 1220 Gun Club Rd. in northwest Atlanta after an argument with his step-father. He was last seen at around noon on Wednesday, police say.

Police say they already have canvassed the area around that address and his grandmother's home at 650 Catherine St. in the Adair Park neighborhood of south Atlanta.

Marcus left home with a black and green book bag and said he was walking to his grandmother's house, but never arrived, according to police. He is described as a black male standing 5'6" and weighing about 120 pounds.

Marcus was wearing a light gray and white hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants and Nike shoes.
