Police Seek Woman Who Dated ATL Murder Victim

Rodrigo Castillo, 33, was found dead in the driver's seat of his car at the intersection of I-20 and MLK Jr. Drive early Friday morning.

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta Police are looking for a woman they believe went on a date with a murder victim before he was shot in the head in the driver's seat of his car.

Rodrigo Castillo, 33, had gone on a date Thursday night, before he was found dead shortly after midnight Friday morning, police say. He was found with a gunshot wound to the head in the driver's seat of his car on Interstate 20 West at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

The was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he died, according to police.

Police spokesman Sgt. John Chafee said Tuesday that the woman is not suspected in Castillo's death, but that investigators want to talk to her to see if she can provide any helpful information.

The two appear to have met on the dating app Bumble and investigators believe she may be a graduate student at Emory University, Georgia State or another local school, Chafee said. They also believe she may be Colombian, he said.
