Here are the top three stories today in Atlanta:

1. Atlanta's arborists are teaming up for a new initiative focused on preserving the city's urban canopy. Peachtree Arborists and Trees Atlanta have pledged to replace every tree they remove from the city's metro area. An interactive map has been created to allow the public to track the replanting effort. Atlanta ranks first place for tree coverage of a major city at 46.5 percent. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
2. An Atlanta startup is using artificial intelligence to detect childhood trauma. The new technology uses a child's voice sample to diagnose mental health issues for children suffering in silence. The startup, Clarity AI, is piloting the technology with Family Ties. The organization provides counseling services to roughly 6,000 families from around the state. (11Alive.com WXIA)
3. The Atlanta Fire Department is desperately trying to fill more than 100 open firefighter positions. The main reasons for the staffing shortage can reportedly be linked to retirements and resignations. The current firefighting staff is working overtime while picking up extra shifts to ensure the safety of our community. (WSB Atlanta)
