President Obama in Atlanta Next Week

ATLANTA, GA -- President Obama will be in Atlanta next week, speaking at the National Rx Drug Abuse & Heroin Summit.

He is scheduled to speak on Tuesday, March 29, at the Westin Peachtree Plaza. The event itself runs from March 28-31.

According to the organization, the summit is the largest national collaboration of professionals from local, state and federal agencies, business, academia, clinicians, treatment providers, counselors, educators, state and national leaders, and advocates impacted by Rx drug abuse and heroin use.

The issue was declared a public health crisis by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2012.
