President Trump Tweets Support In GA Secretary Of State Runoff
Early voting has begun in the secretary of state runoff, with Trump supporting Brad Raffensberger.

ATLANTA, GA --With early voting well underway in Georgia's tight secretary of state runoff, President Donald Trump tweeted his support Monday for Brad Raffensberger, who is seeking the post in a runoff with Democrat, and former Georgia congressman, John Barrow. The Dec. 4. runoff will determine who succeeds Brian Kemp as the elected secretary of state. Kemp won last month's nationally watched Georgia governor's race, defeating Democrat Stacey Abrams by a narrow margin.
Gov. Nathan Deal appointed Robyn Crittenden to fill the rest of Kemp's term. Crittenden is the first African-American female to ever serve in a statewide office. Kemp is continuing to prepare for his January inauguration to replace Deal.
Trump and Vice President Mike Pence were strong supporters of Kemp in the most recent campaign, with both making appearances with Kemp in the final days of contest.

For her part, Abrams never conceded the race, but said she would work toward continuing election reforms. Abrams consistently criticized Kemp for what she alleged were voter irregularities and attempts to suppress minority voters. Kemp countered by saying Georgia broke every previous voter registration number during his tenure.
