GA Christmas Grocery Hours: Publix, Kroger, Walmart, Whole Foods

ATLANTA, GA — Are any Atlanta area grocery stores be open on Dec. 25? Many stores closed early on Christmas Eve and most are closed altogether on Christmas Day. But, there will be some shopping options to pick up the basics on Dec. 25.

Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and Christmas Day, Dec. 25, along with a list of those that won't. Information is taken from their websites, social media and emails to Patch.

Some stores may vary:

• Publix: Christmas Eve: Stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Kroger: Hours vary by store. Some will be open until 8 p.m., others close between 5 and 7 p.m. Call your store to check.
• Save-A-Lot: Christmas Eve: Most stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed
• Piggly Wiggly: All stores close at 6 p.m., closed on Christmas Day.
• Winn-Dixie: Christmas Eve: Stores will close by 9 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Dollar General: Christmas Eve: Open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Walgreens: Christmas Eve: Walgreens will be open regular hours. Christmas Day: Most will be open regular hours.
• Aldi: Christmas Eve: All stores will open with limited hours (use the store locator for hours at your location). Christmas Day: Closed
• Costco: Christmas Eve: Stores open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Safeway: Hours: 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Day.
• Whole Foods: Hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day; check your local store hours online.
• CVS: Christmas Eve: Most stores open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Day: Most stores open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (excludes stores inside Target, which are closed). Pharmacy closed.
• Target: Christmas Eve: Stores open at 7 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Trader Joe's: Christmas Eve: All stores close at 6 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Walmart: Hours: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day.
• BJ's Wholesale Club: Christmas Eve: Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on Dec. 25.
• Sam's Club: Stores close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve; closed on Dec. 25.
