Publix, Kroger, Whole Foods: Christmas 2018 GA Grocery Hours

ATLANTA, GA — Serving up a Christmas feast for family and friends means you wade through the grocery store aisles multiple times, whether it's for more potatoes, or whipped cream for the pies, or in search of ingredients for appetizers. Or, maybe someone you extended an invite to actually takes you up on it, throwing off your servings so a last-minute store run is needed.

Below is a list of grocery stores that will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2018 in Georgia. Many have varying hours, so always remember to check with the store to make sure it's open.

So these are the hours for Atlanta area grocery stores on Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, and Dec. 25, Christmas Day, plus links to their websites. The status for grocery chains is taken from their websites and emails to Patch.

Grocery Store Hours

• Publix: Christmas Eve: All stores close at 7 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Kroger: Christmas Eve: Hours vary by state and market. Christmas Day: Most locations closed.
• Albertson's: Christmas Eve: Most stores typically close a few hours early. Christmas Day: Varies by region. Most open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Save-A-Lot: Christmas Eve: Most stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Piggly Wiggly: Christmas Eve: Open normal hours. Closed on Christmas.
• Winn Dixie: Christmas Eve: Stores will close by 9 p.m. Christmas Day: All stores closed.
• CVS: On Christmas Eve most stores are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Christmas Day most stores open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (excludes stores inside Target).
• Whole Foods: Christmas Eve: All stores will have limited hours. Hours vary by location. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Rite Aid: Christmas Eve: Normal hours. Christmas Day: Most stores open 24/7.
• Walmart: Christmas Eve: Stores close at 6 p.m. or 8 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Target: Christmas Eve: Stores open at 7 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• ALDI: Christmas Eve: All stores will open with limited hours. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Costco: Christmas Eve: Stores open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Sam's Club: Christmas Eve: Open. Christmas: Closed.
• Trader Joes: Christmas Eve: All stores close at 6 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed
