Here are the top three stories in Atlanta today:
- The Atlanta Pride and Out On Film will present a special viewing of Invisible: Gay Women in Southern Music on Apr. 26. The viewing is in celebration of International Lesbian Visibility Day. A special livestream Q&A session with the director will follow the 7:00 p.m. online screening. (AJC.com)
- The Justice Department has indicted an Atlanta rapper on gun trafficking charges. Fredrick Norman, better known by his stage name Slowkey Fred, has been accused of illegally trafficking 300 illegally purchased firearms into Philadelphia. Norman is facing a maximum of 10 years in prison if he is convicted. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- South Fulton police officers responded Monday morning to a 911 call made to the Atlanta Police Department regarding a rooster standing in the middle of Cascade Road. The rooster was spotted near a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant and was reportedly causing a possible traffic issue. The responding officer was not able to catch the rooster before it ran into the restaurant parking lot — not to be seen again. (Atlanta Patch)
