Rescued Dogs Need Your Help: Humane Society

The 20 Chihuahuas were among 34 animals seized from a house in LaGrange, according to report.

ATLANTA, GA — The Atlanta Humane Society is asking the public for donations to help care for 20 Chihuahuas who were rescued from a home in LaGrange.

The small Mexican-breed dogs were among 34 animals seized from the house in Troup County, WSB-TV Channel 2 reported Friday. Animal control officers also seized three ferrets.

The house's owner was ticketed for animal cruelty and neglect. "There was no power in the home and the animals were running around in their own filth," Channel 2 reported.
